ODE TO PIXIE CAMPBELL
DANCING WITH PIXIE

A few many months ago I was introduced to a lovely Spirit filled woman through the blog of her friend. She is a practising Shaman and what I would call a Spiritual Artist. I was intrigued and began to follow her blog. Soon into our blog affair she hosted a Christmas giveaway...and low and behold I won!
A week or so later I enjoyed receiving her package of Goodness and Grace.....
In the package were a pack of her greeting cards, featuring some of her amazing paintings.....
AND...a pack of her post cards, again featuring some of her thought provoking art.....
You can find more of Pixie’s “Spirit Art” here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/pixiecampbell
Pixies art and life reflect her Native American roots which I love so much about her. Her knowledge of Animal Tao is fascinating to me and I have been thrilled to be able to learn more about this through her blog.
As you know this is the year of The Owl for me...(though I am beginning to unravel the truth about me and Owl...that this has been a life long connection. One that I wasn’t quite ready to see until now)....so when I saw that Sweet Pixie was putting together medicine bags for the New Year, and indeed had some made for Owl, I knew one had to be mine.
It arrived a couple weeks ago...”the package”
So excited!
This medicine bundle is about Preparing for the Task Ahead.
Owl brings insights and light to the darkness. She assists with keen seeing and listening, silent wisdom and warrior traits.
This pouch sits in my Studio as a lot of healing and opening of hearts happens there.
The smell of it reminds me of some of the sweeter times of my childhood.
I love that.
This is the pouch I carry around with me.
In time I will find a way to integrate the two...or perhaps they will remain as they are.
Only time will tell.
I am always fascinated with watching artist do their craft.
And Pixie was no exception. (pictures taken from Pixies blog)
I was so happy the day she posted a vlog of herself painting.
you can view it here:

I loved it so much because it gave me a new appreciation of her art style. Seeing an artist working allows me to get closer to them and their process, thus understanding their craft that much deeper.
I hope you take the time to watch it.
So I want to thank you dear Pixie for your lovely way.
I treasure the gifts you have given me and look forward to walking further on this journey of life with you in my pack.
Love and Light to all.
